Här blandar man friskt mellan nyhetsinslag från radion, komplett med reklaminslag och ett rent återberättande av vad som väl hände på plats. Med det sagt så är det verkligen som att transporteras tillbaka i tiden till hur det med största sannolikhet var när boken utspelar sig och människor satt bänkade vid radion för att följa med i vad som hände ute i världen.
